Beyonce sings National Anthem A Cappella to Press in New Orleans in Advance of Super Bowl XLVII (Video)

Yes, I'm tired of this story, too, about Beyonce lip-syncing the "Star-Spangled Banner" at President Obama's second inauguration ceremony, but since the superstar's in my city, New Orleans, for Super Bowl XLVII, and since she handled the controversy so well, I think it's fitting to post this video. In the video above from her press conference today at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center, Beyonce sings the anthem live and a cappella to satisfy her critics and the press. The press heartily applauded.

In the video below, also from today, Beyonce admits that she did indeed lip-sync at the inauguration, but she said she did so because she's a perfectionist and she didn't want to mess up. She had not had time to practice with the Marine Corps band and singers using a back-up track is not uncommon.
